Information Collected Automatically

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service — store and retrieve your floor plans, enable cloud saves and sharing
- Improve the Service — analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, add features, and optimize performance
- Communicate with you — respond to inquiries, send service-related notifications, and deliver newsletter content you've subscribed to

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — trusted third-party companies that help us operate the Site (hosting, analytics, email delivery). These providers only access the data necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect it.
- Shared layouts — if you create a shareable link for your floor plan, anyone with that link can view your layout. Guest names and email addresses are visible in shared layouts.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers — if Party Plug LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Site of any change in ownership.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by trusted third-party hosting providers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
- Encrypted data storage at rest
- Access controls limiting who can access stored data
- Regular security monitoring and updates
While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no electronic storage method or internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Local storage: Floor plans not saved to the cloud are stored locally in your browser. This data is not transmitted to our servers and is subject to your browser's storage policies. Clearing browser data or switching devices will result in the loss of locally stored layouts.
6. Email Communications
If you provide your email address, you may receive:
- Service emails — confirmations when you save a floor plan, share links, or make account changes (cannot be opted out of while using cloud features)
- Newsletter emails — event planning tips, product recommendations, and blog content (you can unsubscribe at any time)
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly to be removed from our mailing list. We process unsubscribe requests within 5 business days.
7. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Products
Our blog content may contain affiliate links to products on Amazon.com and other third-party retailers. When you click these links, the third-party site may collect information about you according to their own privacy policy. We receive referral commissions on qualifying purchases but do not receive any personal information about you from these transactions.
For more details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Essential cookies — required for the Site to function properly (e.g., remembering your layout preferences, maintaining sessions)
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with the Site (e.g., pages visited, time on site, bounce rate). We use this data in aggregate to improve the user experience.
- Functionality cookies — remember your preferences and settings (e.g., dark mode, last-used template)
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Note that some features of the Service may not function properly without cookies.

By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States. We take steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.
16. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. However, you can control tracking through your browser's cookie settings as described in Section 8.
